The media uses what they know about how the mind works and the power of the arts, drama, photography, film, dance, story-telling etc. to speak to people and sell us whatever they want." (excerpt from In Defense for the Christian Arts)  The Arts originally started in the church.  I believe the church has become afraid of the Arts.  We need to teach the church, not say the 'Arts are corrupt', or 'stay away' or 'you can't be an artist and a Christian'.  Rather, if the arts are corrupt, let's redeem them and use them as a source of healing and a tool for evangelism.
